So in love...

I can't believe my boy is already 8 months. Times flies so quick... Still enjoying my everyday moments with this love. Lately he's been grabbing stuff and literally throws it onto the floor. We constantly have pick it up for him. He's not really into crawling... He'd rather stand, hold on to you and walk away... Enjoying his stroll around the house. Most of the time he grabs on to the edge of the coffee table and stands. I think he's amazed at what he can do! If you're next to him he'll turn around and turn right back towards the table. I think he'll start walking soon... Oh boy! He also loves to feel different kind of textures with his hands... Pretty neat to see him discover new things! He's discovering his hand motions... Like closes/ opens his hands when we sing "Close open... Close open...". He loves it when I sing "Itsy Bitsy Spider"... He tries to mimic the finger movement of the spider crawling. Kai loves playing peek-a-boo with you too! He's learning how to clap his hands and loves to hear you sing "Clap your hands... Clap your hands!" It's wonderful to see him respond to his name "Kaimana"... His favorite time is when he's in his crib where he watches his Baby Einstein on the iPad. I guess you can say that's his "Me time." The things I observe as I watch this boy grow AMAZES me and gives me JOY to see him successfully achieve each stage of development. I shall watch my son grow from my baby to a little boy to a young man. But at the same time I'll never... EVER let go of precious moment I have of him now. I will continue to document every moment of it.... Thru my eyes and thru my lens.

Cliff was able to take today off and since it was his birthday weekend I told him he could do whatever he wanted... So Cliff wanted to go check out Bass Pro Shop in Manteca. When we get there that place looked so big from the outside... But when we went inside that place was HUGE! It was fun to look around... They even had a shooting area (fake guns to shoot targets) where anyone could play even Kamalei. She had fun!

Our walk home...

For the past 7 1/2 months I've had the luxury of taking Kamalei to school 5 days a week. Then I'd walk ( if weather permits!) to her school to pick her up. On our walk home we'd have that short 5 minute "Mother & Daughter" time.
Next week ( after a SHORT 8 months of being off!) I will be going back to work ;-( As much as it saddens me I try not to make a big deal as when I had to back to work when Kamalei was 5 months... I hated it and I still do.

I... LOVE... staying... home! I love being there round the clock for my kids... As much as I didn't like being frugal I've gotten used to it and it was well worth my time!

I have 7 days left of being this "Stay at home Mom"... Come to think of it I only work 3 days a week and I can always try and get cancels. What makes it even better is that my parents will be there for Kamalei and especially for Kaimana :-)

BREASTFEEDING...
Do I get tired of it? Yes and no...
Yes I do when I'm awake and Breastfeeding 1am, 2am or 3am in the morning.
No I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. It let's me have my own time to feel that bonding with my son. Knowing he depends on me for comfort/ nurture makes me want to do it over and over again. I know these moments won't last forever....

Still my lil' girl...

She started 1st grade last week- 8/1/11. We got her to finally sleep in her own room as well!...Well, we bought her this 53" Teddy Bear and we told her if we bought it for her she would have to sleep with it in her own room. Tonight is her 4th night and we are so proud of her but sad to see she no longer is with us during the night :-(

Funny... the ultrasound tech was measuring him at 32 weeks. Wow... he's going to be a big boy! Can't wait to meet my boy...

I still can't believe I've made it to 24 weeks! There's so many things on my mind right now that I just realized I have 3 months left for the big day. Kamalei is ending her Kindergarten year soon. Alexis is grown up and an adult. My job... well, I LOVE being a NICU nurse! My marriage... still going strong! Trying to maintain my weight during this pregnancy...! ARRGHHH!

 With all this going on in my mind... sometimes it drives me insane. But all in all, I thank God for giving me these blessings...

Mother's Day is approaching and I found this from one of my all time fave gal, Rhonna!
